Shirley Regina Wetzel, age 76, of Newport, passed away Sunday morning, December 9, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her parents Guy and Florence Wetzel of Frederick, Maryland.

She is survived by her cousins Susan O'toole and Russell Rines, both of Frederick, Maryland, and her closest and dearest friends: Diane Fehrenbacher, Doris Henry, Sanford Henry, Kathy and Rudy Reyes, and Pam and Dennis Baker.

Special thanks to her caregivers: Rhonda Watson, Dana Virdeine, Tammy Burnette, and Eugenia. The family would also like to say a special "Thank you" to Dr. Yarid and his staff for taking such wonderful care of Shirley. Tammy and Chelseaq were also extra nice to Shirley. They loved her very much.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2012, at Manes Funeral Home and a memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Leon Large officiating. Burial will be held at Mount Olive Cemetery in Frederick, Maryland on Wednesday, December 12, 2012.
