Mollie was born in Knott County, Kentucky. She later married the late Irvin Johnson and lived in Milan, Indiana. After Irvin died, Mollie moved to Merritt Island, Florida, where she met and lived with her loving companion of 37 years, Pearl 'Curly' Hoskins. He and she lately moved to Parrottsville to be closer to family, Tom and Debbie Hollifield.

Mollie was preceded in death by her parents Abijah and Flora Mae Combs Ritchie, brothers Ishmael (Lucindy) Ritchie, Asbel (Marie) Ritchie, and Lionel (Dorothy) Ritchie, and sisters Edna (Chalmer) Barker and Lottie Ritchie.

Mollie has a great number of nieces and nephews who will miss her.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Manes Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Blanchard officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2012, in Union Cemetery.
