Claude Williamson, age 80, of Johnson City, passed away
Wednesday, December 5, 2012, in the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.
He was a native of Cosby, the son of the late Jethro
Williamson and Belva Megaye Williamson. In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by two brothers Clyde and Clay and two sisters Irene and
Girlene.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a
retired security guard.
Survivors include his loving wife of eighteen years Betty
Osborne Williamson of the home; three daughters: Kathy Simerly and her husband
Brian of Johnson City; Phyllis Carder of Johnson City; and Rose Williamson; one
son Richard Williamson; six brothers: Cleo, Clinton, Clayton, Charles, Carl,
and Gay; four sisters Nancy, Lola, Fay, and Ernestine; several grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Williamson will be conducted at
2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel with
Pastor Lon Tobin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00
p.m. Saturday prior to the services. The graveside committal services will be
conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2012, in the Mountain Home National
Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the Honor Guard. The Boone Dam Post #4933
will accord military honors. Minister, family, and friends are requested to
meet at the funeral home by 12:15 p.m. Monday to go in procession to the
cemetery.
