Ruby
Green Howard, age 75 of Pittman Center, passed away Friday, December 7, 2012.
She
was a member of Laurel Branch Baptist Church.
She
spent many years fundraising for Pittman Center Elementary, Pittman Center
Volunteer Fire Department and various other community organizations.
She
was preceded in death by her parents John and Bonnie Green and sister Juanita
Hodge.
She
is survived by her husband Rex Howard; son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Denise
Howard; daughters and sons-in-law Tammie and Gary Ledford and Brenda and Rusty
Oakley; grandchildren Chad
Phillips, Chelsi and Erik Beckstrom, Logan Ledford, Lucas Ledford, Brier and
Boone Howard, and Chase and Bailey Lipman; great-grandchildren: Bayler, Bennett
and Laney Beckstrom; brother and sister-in-law Austin and Shearlean Green; brother-in-law Herman Hodge;
special friends Pat Carr, Ruby Huskey, Ethel Shultz, Bonnie Proffitt and Frank
Lindsey.
The family will receive
friends from 12:00--2:00 p.m. Sunday with funeral service to follow at 2:00
p.m. in Atchley's Smoky Mountain Chapel, Pigeon Forge. Interment will follow in
