Dessie M. Raines Waddell, 77, of Hendersonville, NC went to be with the Lord Friday evening, November 30, 2012.

Born in Henderson County, NC, she was a daughter of the late William Odell "Tobe" and Nola Turbyfill Raines.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Waddell, who passed away in 1972.

A Celebration of Dessie's Life will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2012 at East Hendersonville Baptist Church in Hendersonville, NC with the Reverend Carroll Poole officiating.  Interment will be held at a later date at Cedar Creek Cemetery in Greeneville, TN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
