Mrs. Evelyn Alene Timmons, age 90, of Newport, passed away Tuesday morning, November 27, 2012, at Newport Medical Center.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years James Timmons of the home; children Gail (Dave) Howell of Middleburg, FL; Tim Timmons (Joanna Holt) of Newport; and Sharon (Jim) Hanlon of Morganton, NC; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2012, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Chapel with Pastor Tim Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the services at Resthaven.
