Frances Ann Moore Norton, age 79, died peacefully on November 26, 2012, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House.

A native of Gaston County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Alton Pryor Moore and Hattie Bell Hodge Pearson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Lee Norton, son Bobby Dean Norton, and brother Mitchem Keith Pearson.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law Johnny and Julie Norton of Gastonia, North Carolina; George Terry 'Butch' and Vanessa Norton of Belmont, North Carolina; daughter Chung Morris of Gastonia, North Carolina; brother Fred James Pearson of Gastonia, North Carolina; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 1, 2012, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont.

A service to celebrate her life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. Noel Sweezy officiating.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Dandridge with Tony Riche officiating.
