Pauline Sams Blankenship passed away Sunday morning, November 18, 2012, at Physicians Regional Medical Center.

She was 83 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred C. Blankenship, son Ronnie Blankenship, and grandson Lee Bailey. She also had two deceased infant daughters.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Diane and W. T. Cogdill, son and daughter-in-law Arlie and Sheila Blankenship, three grandchildren Melissa Taylor, Pattie Lewis, and Daniel Blankenship; seven great-grandchildren Leanna Taylor, Kennidi Blankenship, Cassidy, Jonathon, Mark, Jesse, and David Lewis; sister Viola Fine; special sister-in-law Maggie McMahan; two brothers HC and OV Sams, along with several other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Brother John Bugg officiating. She will be buried in the Faubian Cemetery between her beloved husband and son on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
