J. P. Presley, age 83, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Presley and his son Jimmy Presley.

He is survived by his sons Steve, Junior, Leonard, David, and Brian; daughters Margaret, Martha, Lena, Lily, and Carolyn; thirty grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; also other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Bear Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Samples and Rev. Ronnie Askew officiating. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Mausoleum.

The family received friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Manes Funeral Home.
