Letty Rogers Bryant, age 95, died Friday, November 9,
2012, after living a full and eventful life.
She was born in Boone, North Carolina to Ida and Sion
Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years
Eulys Bryant, daughter Glenda Ann Williamson, two sisters Marie Wilson and
Blanche Rogers, and two brothers Vilas Rogers and Turner Rogers.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Louise and
Don Van Hyning, son-in-law Wayne Williamson, five grandchildren Susan
Stapleton, Jeanne Gamble, Clifford Williamson, Chad Van Hyning, and Dirk Van
Hyning; six great-grandchildren Ciara Hensley, Derek Stapleton, Layla Stapleton,
Jackson Van Hyning, Sam Van Hyning, and Eliza Van Hyning; devoted niece Nancy
Marsh, and special friend Brenda Green.
She graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in 1939
and was a teacher for 36 years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November
12, 2012, at Manes Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Spell and Rev. Marta Cogburn
officiating. Burial followed in Union Cemetery.
The family received friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Manes
Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
