Millard Charles Buchanan, age 87, of Cosby, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 5, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert C. and Eva Buchanan of Matewan, West Virginia and brothers Hillard and Frank Buchanan.

He is survived by his wife Dora Jean Buchanan of Cosby, son and daughter-in-law Sonny and Ann Marie Buchanan of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Guy Provencal of Cosby, TN; daughter Kaye Savage of Sharpsburg, Georgia; grandchildren Andrew and Frannie Buchanan, Ian and Stefanie Buchanan, all of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Clinton and Abby Provencal of Cosby; Kevin and Erin Murrell of Cosby; Erica Shoemaker and Robbie Savage of Sharpsburg, Georgia; great-grandchildren Kyleigh Savage, Matthew Buchanan, Evan Provencal, Ryan Buchanan, and Brock Murrell.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Jenkins Chapel Church with Dr. Dan Netherland officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Jenkins Chapel Church in care of Jim Murrell, 2775 Bogard Road, Newport, TN 37821.
