Dennis H. Bible, 65, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010.

Dennis has been an active member of the Newport, Tennessee community since 1950.

A founding member and long-standing parishioner of The Church of The Good Shepherd, Dennis celebrated many years serving others.

A native of Cleveland, OH, he was preceded in death by his parents Francis Widmar Bible and Hubert Bible, cousins Craig Widmar and Jimmy Widmar of California, Richard Uranker of Ohio, and numerous aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his aunt Christine Widmar of Michigan, cousins Douglas Widmar and Karen Widmar Platz of Michigan, Russell Widmar of California, Gerald Uranker of Indiana, Roger Widmar, and Robert Widmar of Ohio, and several extended members of the Bible family.

He is also survived by countless friends and loved ones of which several include the Tritt family, the Kyker family, goddaughter Kara Ethier, dear friends Ila Ruth McMillan, Grady Hughes and family, as well as his beloved Good Shepherd family.

A graveside service will be held at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park, OH on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. on the family plot.

A celebration of Dennis's life will be held at The Church of The Good Shepherd on Saturday, August 28, at 11:00 a.m.
