John Michael "Mike" Webb, age 41, of Purdy, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010, in Purdy.

He was born November 19, 1968, in White Pine, TN, the son of Steve Webb, Jr. and Amelia Pauline "Polly" (Bowers) Webb.

Mike, as most people knew him, received his education in Purdy, MO, where he graduated from high school. He received two years of vocational training and became employed as an electrician. He had resided in Kansas City, MO the past nine years. His favorite pastimes were fishing and camping. He was a member of Purdy First Christian Church.

He is survived by his mother and step-father Polly and Jim Sharman of Purdy, MO; his father Steve Webb, Jr. of Newport, TN; one son Landon Gage Pennington of Purdy; three sisters: Katherine Michele Savage of Nixa, MO; Regina Ann Horner of Fayetteville, NC; and Stephanie Renee Hurst of Sevierville, TN; three nieces and one nephew: Rachel Renee Savage of Nixa, MO; Charles P. Horner, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC; Amanda S. Horner of Fayetteville, NC; and Cassarra Lakin Pennington of Purdy, MO.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2010, in Union Cemetery, Newport, TN, under the direction of Manes Funeral Home, Newport. Pastor Alvin Watts will conduct the services.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in memory of Mike.
