Henry Hux, age 93, of Newport, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, March 10, 2010.

He was preceded in death by his parents Will and Arlie Hux, brothers Frank Hux, Ed Hux, Bob Hux, John Hux, and Hartsel Hux, and sisters Mary Mooneyham, Selmer Hux, Lena Toby, and Edna Taylor.

He is survived by his daughter Jetta Jean Samples and husband Bobby; foster son Phil Kirkpatrick; sisters Betty Bryant and Nelle Trentham; four grandsons Danny Webb and wife Kathy, Donny Webb and wife Trish, Bobby Wayne Samples and wife Lisa, and Brian Samples.

He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends; also, a special nephew Terry Hux.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010, in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Evangelist Gene Gorrell officiating. Burial followed in Union Cemetery.

The family received friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Friday prior to the services.
