Willie B. Benson, age 79, of Newport, passed Thursday, March 11, 2010.

He was preceded in death by his son Clayton Hartsell, parents William (Hoss) and Nancy Benson; brothers Tom, Charles (Good), Walter, Richard, and James (Buss) Benson, and sisters Linda, Vergie, Susie, and Betty Joe.

He is survived by his sister Bonnie Loya; several nieces, nephews, and good friends, Wayne Nease, David Newman and his wife, and Tony Layman.

Graveside services were held held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, in the Tritt Cemetery.
