Charlene C. Ford, age 65, of Newport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 23, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was a member of Crossroads Community Church.

Being a Registered Nurse, Charlene dedicated her life to taking care of others. She loved to camp and work in her many flower gardens, especially her roses.

Charlene was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Fox; her dad O'Dell Williamson; and her sister-in-law Linda Williamson.

She is survived by her mom Aileen Williamson of Newport; husband of 47 years Bill Ford of Newport; son Dr. Keith Ford of Seymour; daughter and son-in-law Susan (Rick) Clevenger of Newport; brothers and sisters-in-law Van (Phyllis Fox) of Newport; Tommy (Jemima) Williamson of Newport; Ronnie "Birdeye" Williamson of Daleville, AL; sister Connie Nabors of Newport; sister-in-law Linda Sharp of Knoxville; grandchildren Chelsea Clevenger of Newport; Brandon and Casey Ford of Seymour; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

A special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Hill and Charlie Grooms for the wonderful care that was given to Charlene. The family would also like to thank Neil Shults.

The family will receive friends in Manes Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2010, followed by the funeral services at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Ransom Hall and Rev. James Suggs officiating.

Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010, in Union Cemetery.
