Russ Gregory Allen, age 21, of Newport, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 17, 2009.

He was preceded in death by his mother Darline Marie Allen.

He is survived by his son Houston Gregory Allen and father Greg Allen, both of Newport; sister and brother-in-law Amanda and Jordan Curtis of Athens, TN; grandparents Helen Kitchen of Newport; Walter Kitchen of Manchester, TN; and Ruble and Jean Allen of Newport; aunts and uncles Terry and Randy Redmond of Richmond, VA; Mike and Vickie Clinard of Nashville, TN; Sharon Shults of Newport; Jackie and Julie Kitchen, Willie and Beth Allen, and Tony and Marianne Clark, all of Newport; cousins Fred Allen and Melissa Cureton of Nashville; Evan Shults, LeeAnn Waldrop, Hunter and Halle Kitchen, Matthew and Macy Allen, all of Newport; niece Madelyn Curtis of Athens, TN; special friends Jo, Ashley, and Erica Cody of Newport, and his companion Anna Terry of Newport.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2009 at Manes Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Allen Cemetery with Pastor Tommy Golmon officiating.
