William Henry Holder, age 67, of Newport, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2009.

He was a veteran having served in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Catherine Holder.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Holder of Newport; son Bill David Holder and wife Selena of Anderson, SC; daughter Nancy Veronee and husband Gary of SC; grandchildren Sophie and Claire Holder of Anderson, SC; brother James Holder and wife Barbara of Oregon; also several other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2009, in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wiley Woody officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. prior to the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Church of God of Newport Maintenance Fund in memory of Bill Holder.
