Gelana C. Philpot, 3 months old, of Newport, entered into life on December 16, 2008, and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 19, 2009.

She is survived by her biological parents, Jodie Philpot and George Simons; brothers, Andrew Dean, Adrian Keith Sulfridge, and her twin brother, Ethan Philpot; sisters, Abigail Hickey and Andrea Gracie Dean; grandparents, Clarence and Sharon Philpot and Rhonda Brock; mom and dad, Vickie and Roger Ramsey; sisters, Raven and Kelsey; brothers, Conner and Donovan; grandparents, Phyllis and Roger Ramsey, Kathleen and Clay Dockery; also several aunts, uncles, cousins and loving family members.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Macedonia Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Gum Springs Union Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the church prior to the services.
